Who are we and what do we do?

Silver State Sports Camps is the premier source for information about instructional youth sports camps, clinics, events and sign-ups in Northern Nevada. No matter what season it is and regardless of what sport you play, we will have an event for you. You will find basketball and wrestling camps in the winter; baseball and softball camps in the spring; all sports camps in the summer; and soccer, volleyball and football camps in the fall. We serve the cities of Reno, Sparks, Carson City, Minden, Gardnerville, Elko, Winnemucca, Lake Tahoe, Fallon, Bishop, Truckee and more!   1. SPORTS CAMPS bring out the competitive nature in athletes due to the fact that they want to perform as well as or better than their peers which aids in understanding and development due to the increase in focus and effort.

  2. SPORTS CAMPS improve understanding and performance through vicarious learning which means athletes can improve by observing the learning experiences (successes and failures) of their peers.

  3. SPORTS CAMPS aid in the development of skills through variability of practice.  Variability of practice is performing familiar skills and drills in a varied environment while hearing the information from a different source when utilizing varied teaching techniques. Simply put, getting instruction from different coaches can greatly improve understanding and increase the learning curve therefore improving performance.
